Joining P1 and S1

P1 August 2026 

Please Apply Online from 18th November 17 November to 23 November 2025. The link to the online form will go live on the Midlothian website Apply for a school place by 15 December 2025. You can also find information about your Catchment School here and how to make an Out of Catchment request or deferral.

S1 August 2026 (Secondary School)

If your child is already in a Midlothian Primary School P7, you will receive a letter from the council stating your Catchment Secondary School. You only need to take action if you wish to apply for a different school and all the information about this is here at:  Apply for a school place
